I’m talking about adultery. Society forgives adultery all the time. I mean, look at politics. As for the case - it’s simple, people do not believe he did what he was accused of. They’re not excusing anything, they don’t believe it and never really have outside Denver.

I would feel that ultimate conclusion is incomplete and loses credibility without acknowledging that. In fact, there’s an alternate version of your article that could be made that is substantively the same thst says “U of M can’t keep preaching XYZ and acting like everyone else such as XYZ.”

Our work does not exist in a vacuum. For example, if I call for a woman’s firing for legitimate reasons after the 3 guys before her did the same and weren’t held accountable I’m furthering that bias by not at least acknowledging similar men were not her to this standard and should’ve been.

I don’t need to know you. I’m evaluating this particular work and putting it the context of how ADs are evaluated and held accountable. You don’t like me making those points and it’s fine. But someone will eventually make them in an article and I have feeling your piece will be one of those cited.

It reads like you had stuff to get off your chest to make your point of “U of M” isn’t what it pretends to be - which is fine, but blaming Warde/holding him to a standard none of his college football contemporaries at schools with much more tortured history or just as bad are held to is ridiculous.

Basically it’s the player’s maximal best case scenario argument, not their floor and it’s not the sort of leverage that they exercise and part of why the teams sold for what they did recently is entirely based on ownership knowing what player salaries would likely cost them.

The 1 issue is it assumes that anything less than 50% is unfair. NBA players didn’t get that until locking out in 2016 and they had been making a profit every year. The NBA is going to say you’re asking for 50% based on future forecasting and ignoring the history of subsidizing the league.

That’s because teams tend to play base defense. I get your perspective. But if you’re struggling against even that - it’s a sign. I remember when Aaron Rodgers came in during a preseason game and looked incredible. And you just knew those tools would translate if he had the mental part.

Tbh, you’re the only person I know who listened to that clip and had that takeaway - regardless of overall perspective. Like, I wouldn’t have even had that thought if not for your post.
