I admit, I was excited by the possibility of letting the Jedi order die out. The prequels left me with the unshakable sense that the Jedi were as responsible as Palpatine for the rise of Empire. I still hope that Rey’s yellow lightsaber at the end of TROS portends at the very least a reformation.
