Yesterday's Gov report tells us that UK "cannot currently produce enough food to feed its population based on current diets" and that as ecosystems collapse, other countries are likely to limit exports.

That means not enough to eat.

It really is time for Gov to brief the nation.

Devastating new report on imminent threats to the UK from global ecosystem collapse which "threaten UK national security and prosperity"

Liberals responded with triangulation, until the right became the centre ground.

It's ridiculous that the Government *still* haven't banned the sale of peat.

Peat bogs are still getting dug up and used for compost and in horticulture. Ministers say they'll ban it 'when time allows'.

Get on with it already! Sign the petition:

The UK's 156 billionaires own £772 billion. That's more than the GDP of Switzerland. Meanwhile, 14 million people live in poverty.

Will taxing billionaires help reduce poverty? Yes.
Will the government listen? No, because the billionaires are paying them not to.

There are a lot of reasons for the failure of this narrative when it runs up against reality, but I think a lot of it is that we’ve been indoctrinated into this notion that capitalism is somehow inherently rational, which it is not
