Agreed, apart from the 3D mesh lasering is fairly unique with such a large z-axis travel potential.
I wouldn't want it in my 3D printer though!

Is it more secure to demand a physical chip? Otherwise it's just nfc which can be spoofed? Not sure.

Yeah, as you say, having a project to specifically work on will make it seem less intimidating. It's definitely not a CAD workflow though.
To be honest, I quite like Fusion rendering if you create your own lights and materials. Being limited to 4000px for rendering on your own pc feels mean though.
