All the wit and wisdom you loved from Twitter come to Bluesky because the old place is a Xithole now. Veteran, academic, well-versed in right wing discourse, and insufferable.
And people from each party were against gay marriage.

I’m not saying it’s right, but the difference between the mainline of the parties was much more marginal issues.

I’m glad someone is calling out that the deal Kansas’ Governor said would cost taxpayers nothing is actually a multi-billion dollar giveaway to an already rich family for a product Kansas citizens already enjoyed.

The thing people don’t realize is that in the 90s there was a lot more similarity among the parties and the real issue was “how much do we give to the poor” or “what is the marginal tax rate?”

Now the debate is “should black people exist?” “Why do we allow women to vote?” It’s not the same.

No, his one wish is for peace.

He says how they think “may he perish,” but they really want peace.

My country has a draft.

We’ve had it used in wars from the beginning of this nation.

I’m sorry to break it to you, but men being impressed into service to continue the society they enjoy in times of peace is the price of freedom.

No. Combat Veteran as well.

This conflict is caused by human greed, but his country’s fight is against that greed.

Escaping the horrors of conflict is reserved for the weak. Men of character do not have the benefit of such an out.

I thought your comment was basically stating “I have seen no studies that digital technology is leading to increased loneliness.”

There’s a significant amount of study about it.
December 13, 2025 at 10:51 PM
“overall time spent online was associated with greater loneliness”

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen any study not inferring a causal relationship that “needs to be studied more.”

Where is your data for that claim?

Does OF keep that data?
December 13, 2025 at 10:41 PM
In his defense, you’re not correctly formulating the descriptors he uses to say that someone has a 1 in 3 chance of being on OF.

I doubt anyone could accurately identify what is an “attractive” female though.

about the way their own citizens are being treated.
December 11, 2025 at 1:03 PM
Was there any talk in Europe of reciprocal treatment?

I worry about traveling given my easily identifiable history as a veteran, and as a white male, I worry I’m going to be confused for a Trumper and will be used as some example. May be unfounded, but I can’t believe these countries are happy

Jones.
December 11, 2025 at 12:58 PM
Fuentes was on Alex Jones’ podcast disagreeing with Trump long before he was on Carlson’s podcast.

I think the Carlson interview was clearly a step up for Fuentes, but he was making the rounds on a series of podcasts and platforms prior to that point largely based on the notoriety he got from
December 11, 2025 at 12:58 PM
Jones was platforming Nick Fuentes for a significant amount of time prior to the interview with Carlson and likely increased his notoriety among the Trump base.

Jones was interviewed by Rogan and Carlson in the lead up to the election and after and got back on Twitter.

We already have this technology.

It’s called “rail.”

Just heard “the air bud rule” in my headphones and my podcast addictions all came together.

Unfortunately, I think there’s more canons of construction than are present in any of the Air Bud movies.

Also: how could she not have known the dog gets to play?

The biggest mistake people make is thinking that business or government is “good.”

We can always learn from things, but to act like business and government do not have negatives is the real problem in our society.

Neither is wholly good and they must be set against the other.

The issue with this is that:
1- we punish based on outcome, not entirely on intent.
2- you used the words of the defendants as the sole arbiter of what happened.

I wouldn’t rely on such a bias of information discernment. You don’t trust what Trump says about the facts of his cases.
