I appreciate the optimism and to be fair I’ve seen a lot of people gently point this out. I have also seen a lot of criticism for the movement bc “one day won’t make a difference”. I guess we need to be cautious that our discourse doesn’t dissuade people to participate at all.

Slow and steady. Relationship and educating. It is helpful to encourage people to take it the distance and make longer term change, but so many are so deeply enculturated into capitalistism small steps are necessary.

The problem is, the more we tell people it’s not going to work, the less people will try it at all. It’s the start of awareness, stop shooting it down.
