After listening to a few podcasts, it seems to me that all the sportswriters knew but didn't have any hard proof. Maybe an open secret in the industry but not with fans?

I'm talking out of my ass bit here but shouldn't HBO have verified they were the correct files before adding them? It's still their fault (at least partially).
