Get wrecked nerds, I was right.

Yep exactly. It's basically the Boss Baby meme.

Yes police? I witnessed a murder on Reddit.

I didn't get a chance to ask them why, sorry everyone.

My PbtA game of middle school mysteries finally has a character sheet!

"The Samsung refrigerator you already purchased is going to start showing advertisements."

This is going about as well as I expected, but I have no regrets.

Vaults of Vaarn is the best game ever written.

Sure, the math on contested saves confuses me. Sure, there are too many stats. Sure, I don’t know how I would play a literally two dimensional character.

BUT YOU CAN GET A PET ROCK.

Have you seen the turn counter optional rule? Might be just the thing.

From a review of Daggerheart.

It boggles my mind that the mechanics of D&D are such a slog that we've normalized people looking at their phones during the game.

Yeah, that’s where the trad influence comes in. The GM can always make a move in PbtA fashion, when there’s a golden opportunity or the players “look to you to see what happens next.” But you also have very specific uses for Fear.

They don't know the meme!

I only know one! Orbital, a belonging outside belonging game, does this.

Today's favorite mechanic is the final confrontation of Deathmatch Island. At the end of every island there's a deathmatch showdown. The rules tell you who wins the combat. But the rules also tell you how to bypass those rules and make up your own ending.

"Ugh, OSR games are just killing monsters and looting corpses."

Cut to me, sitting at a campfire, getting ridiculed because my joke wasn't funny.

Greg Stafford, describing his fantasy world in 1992. He could write an inclusive world over 30 years ago. It's not hard people.

Colored in the second room. Playing around with depth and shadows. Noticable improvement from the first room!

Magpie Games has taken some heat recently, but I'll say this in their defense: My Urban Shadows 2e book fell apart. They put a replacement in the mail 48 hours after I emailed them. I'm pretty happy with that service, ngl.

Expanded the dungeon. Drafting in pencil this time, which I should have done from the beginning.

Slowly working on my drawing. Not too shabby for my first isometric dungeon room.

I'm doing some drawing exercises from drawabox.com. Long story short, I accidentally made a point crawl.
