Doesn't really look the same to me. How about the leaf coloration pattern? I've seen this one last week in Brunei.

#Gastrodia sabahensis is a small but quite colourfull mycoheterotrophic orchid. It was once thought it is endemic to small area around Sandakan ( #Sabah, north #Borneo) but we found it also in #Brunei. Now we found it at the type locality in Kebun Cina, Sandakan after 20+ years.

What's better than celebrate the #TaxonomyRecognitionDay in room full of taxonomists? I had great time at 15th Symposium on the flora of southeastern Serbia and neighboring regions in Niš last three days.

Another #Ornithogalum flowering right now in Central Europe: O. divergens. This species is usually pentaploid or hexaploid and spread mostly vegetatively using lentil-like bulbils.

Another Star-of-Bethlehem flowering now in northern Pannonia - #Ornithogalum boucheanum. Together with O. nutans (which do not have green stripe on tepals visible when viewed from front), they are sometimes treated as a separate genus Honorius due to their distinctive racemose inflorescence.

Ornithogalum refractum now flowering in northern Pannonia. This semi-ruderal geophyte can be found in termophilous ephemeral vegetation in road ditches and cemeteries. The species diverts its fruit pedicels to the ground, hence the name.
