Maybe it’s just an experience thing and not everyone cares. But it definitely took me some ear training!

When I was 18 and moved to
Olympia, WA I started hanging out with a band and me the bassist endlessly listened to Nirvana, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc. and he taught me to hear the different elements of a song because I simply could not.
