rose byrne is one of those underrated gems. I remember being so touched by her interpretation of rose mortmain in I capture the castle--not a character or story I ever liked personally, but the life she brought to it always affected me in a very particular way.
A couple days later & Rose Byrne’s performance in IF I HAD LEGS I’D KICK YOU still lingers in my mind. A raw & unflinching turn that captures a mother on the brink with astonishing emotional precision. How it crafts a portal into her psyche using a hole in her ceiling is perfect.
