So Parliament Island is off Manhattan. And since parliament derives from “lots of talking” … it fits!

The 1940’s one was machine blown into a metal form - the 1600’s square Genever bottle - mouth blown into a wood form w/ a makers mark on the bottom.

But my favorite part is these bottles from ship wrecks from the 1600’s to 1945… a bottle on a ship was a bottle on a ship for 100’s of years.
But until plastic & S.Steel bottles - the tech was incredibly static for liquid storage.
