With alligator prisons, and ICE thugs rampant, and a corrupt WH, and a Supreme Court not interested in Justice, and billionaires controlling more and more, and the Constitution looking weaker and weaker, stating "I'll never vote Gavin Newsom" sounds so f*cking selfish.

5. Show up when it's time to show up. Get as many ppl as possible to show up when it's time to show up. If they don't think it's a big deal, persuade them other wise. Give them options to vote. If you have to, lay out the steps one by one on how they can easily vote. Literally draw them a diagram.

4. You want change, get more votes. That's it. Focus on how you're going to get more votes, how you're going to interact with ppl so they vote for your preferred candidate. Don't fight the last election, don't insult anyone, don't always expect logic and facts to win support. Seek common ground.

3. It's a marathon, and it's a roller coaster. There will be losses; you will feel sad. But don't allow yourself to spiral down; seek support when needed. Rest, for however long you need to. When victories come, don't mitigate them, feel good. Make a ton of room for joy and laughter in your life.

2. Have the next 4 years of election dates handy, at all levels (even local). Focus on the next upcoming election. Keep in contact with like-minded ppl also organizing. Decide how you want to support. Lean on leaders for good ideas. Focus on making every day a small (even tiny) victory.

1. You're not alone. There's millions and millions of others around you who feel like you do. Some of them are scary smart and know things, some of them not so much. Find them, interact with them, judge them, give your support where you judge it's useful, and take their support when you need it.

So you don't like who's in power? You're not powerless to bring change, even though it feels like it, even though many want you to feel powerless.

1. Find ppl to support and who can support you.
2. Organize.
3. Pace yourself.
4. Persuade.
5. Vote.
