Mars was even used directly in a first season episode of Space: 1999. It fits well with space battles. I’ve loved the whole suite from my teenage years.

I could see Bruce Campbell taking her on.

I saw an NCIS the other day where the point of the story was that an AI device they were using could not beat out things like human hunches and intuition.

Reminded me of those Star Trek episodes where Spock or another Vulcan comes to learn that maybe there is some value in human emotion after all.

He truly is full on delusional now. Not just lying, but in an alternate reality. I think the Republicans are starting to realize this and that’s why they’re headed for the exits.

My favorite gag is Curly reading the instructions for making a cake.

“Separate two eggs.”

(Moves them far away from each other.)

And the man in the back
Said everyone attack
And it turned into a ballroom blitz

People always compare this to The Matrix, but frankly I think this is a better film.

Not to mention Jor-El and Lara turn out to be villains? I mean, WTF?

Actually I think you may have just inspired a new nickname for our Attorney General: Illegally Blondi.

That’s…sick.

Future directors: if you want an example of how to totally set the tone for a movie, check out the opening sequence in which a group of Christmas carolers sing merrily…and then the camera slowly tilts up. 🤣

You can’t “admit” to being a member of something that doesn’t exist. This is just an attempt to make it look like such an “organization” does exist, to establish a pretext for invoking the Insurrection Act.

From the time I was a child I always wondered why the top of his head was built like a shelf.

Shouldn’t that cross be hanging upside down, though?

Use unmarked delivery cars. Or deliver to neighbors who will accept on behalf of immigrants.

I still like the channel, but I also still think the new name sounds like something that was thought up in freshman Marketing 101.

that the office of the AA counselor (played by Bruce Greenwood) was almost identical to the office of Stuart Ullman, the man who hired Jack Torrance in The Shining?

Nice bit of foreshadowing there.

I just saw this again the other day and was impressed. Rose the Hat is a great villain, Kyleigh Curran was top notch as Abra, and Flanagan perfectly recalled scenes from The Shining without them looking like cheap fan service.

For example, without drawing attention to it, did anyone else notice

Let’s have a drink to that!

Hey, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ pants looked just like that a couple of weeks back.
