That was my 1st thought too. 2nd thought was scotus doesn't GAF about consistency or precedent, and doesn't even seem concerned about providing opinions to go along with the decision. "Just cuz" is all we may get.

No, just "anarchy adjacent." They DO want gov't to protect their property while they steal everyone else's, & to enforce contracts that others violate, while violating contracts they don't feel like abiding by. So "anarchy 4 me, but not 4 thee," & their virtuous selfishness makes it seem rational.
