A good read that underscore my views on the failure of public services and government abdication of their responsibility.

“Homelessness in this country as 2025 concludes is a public catastrophe composed of tens of thousands of private collapses.”

As a resident who pays attention to the details, I’m left with more questions than answers—especially with the government’s plan to create the NB Growth Office, announced in speeches to business groups but absent from the capital budget speech itself. #nbpoli open.substack.com/pub/jeffthom...

Did GNB consider all the available lands — like this one on Regent Street, next to the Forestry Centre?

Minister Hickey was asked at the ‘so-called’ community meeting last month and said it was UNB land.

Guess what?

It isn’t.

It’s been thinned — for some reason 🤷‍♂️ #Fredericton

When did they clear the trees out along Regent St at Forestry Centre. This photo taken from the parking lot at Knowledge Park. #Fredericton

🥶 Cold air is forecast to overtake the mild air in the Maritimes, sending temperatures down.

It’s that time of year but the wind chills will make it feel like -10 to -20 across the region, including cities like #Fredericton.

But -20 is more like January.

A great turnout for Run for the Shelters charity 3, 5 and 8K walk, jog and run. I was the sweep and got a solid 13-miles in on the bike. #Fredericton

Good idea given the weather forecast and a reminder that this is the last week for yard waste pickup.

Former SNB space on Queen under renovations. Who is moving in? #Fredericton

Crafted this 12 page briefing note over lunch and shared with someone I feel can do something with it. I will stay involved. #Fredericton

I spent the lunch break putting an idea into motion with those I believe can turn it into something tangible.

I was part of a start-up accelerator that aimed to launch 36 companies within 36 months. So why not 24 doctors in 24 months for #Fredericton?
November 13, 2025 at 5:23 PM
I suspect it means turn-key, where a new doctor can simply walk in and do what they trained to do without having to worry about the administrative details.

Who is paying for the up-front and ongoing costs? If taxpayers, is this reflected in the new deal with doctors?#nbpoli +

As I shared last week, it's time we think outside the box. There is at least 80k sf of ideal space. If space means turn-key, with furniture, equipment, and technology, then say that. Then let's talk about a turn-key package for any practice that wants to locate in #Fredericton

At the healthcare summit and I’m hearing more about a lack of “space” in Fredericton & it’s holding back recruitment. I heard the same thing last week at my MLA’s town hall.

I’m frustrated hearing space as a blocker. When (how) did this become the thing? #Fredericton #nbpoli 🧵

A young bagpiper stood here for several days, playing Amazing Grace to honour those who served and those who never came home.

No cameras, no ceremony—just quiet respect and a reminder of what remembrance truly means.

Take a moment today to reflect, thank, and remember.

“Could have considered a tax rate reduction of 5 - 8 cents” While I don’t believe current council would have delivered 8-cents, I’d most certainly expect 5-cents.

I need to look back at spike protection again, but I seem to think it is a delay that property owners eventually pay. #Fredericton

“More value created by people building on the platform than by the platform builder.”

#OpenAI update with Sam whose says the quote is attributed to Bill Gates. So true and welcome to the #AI Platform era.
