They may help swing things, but you have a masive amount of people that actively vote against having that.

We did too here in Canada, until 1 province brought it in. It was supposed to be a disaster, but as it turned out to be ok, the rest joined in.

Such a change to so fully embrace socialism.

If he'd have said it should be for everyone in Canada on day one, we'd still be talking about getting started.

I'll again remind everyone, Tommy Douglas, Keiffer Sutherland's grandfather, started Universal Healthcare in Saskatchewan. Everyone thought it was a terrible idea, but in the next year, the next province asked to join

Thanks for posting this. I didn't know this story at all, and it's so very heartwarming to hear about people like this.
We need more of this.

I'm having a hard time finding empathy for those folks. I didn't support my daughters so they could lower their standards to be someones servant. The rest gotta buck up here. My oldest has a great partner, he's a great guy and is fully present in life.

I try, but then I know all financial data is resold, all your network metadata is gathered, and things like CLOUD Act and local equivalents, and it's hard to parse out what to actually worry about. Maybe best is to create a lot of spurious traffic and digital noise.

They lead by example, fitness, fruit-days, etc. Showing how to keep a healthier workforce.
You won't see this CEO in Forbes, since his package is more modest, as he also believes in delivering to his members, and now server as chairman.

Basic coverage for everyone in an expanded medicaid/medicare, by a group already set to manage claims.
CEO, "it's ok to be paid well, just not to do wasteful things. Waste means your neighbour doesn't get that knee replacement they need"
You'll hear all the staff repeat that.

US taxes for HC are already higher than in Canada. Just most people get 0/nothing/nada for what they are paying for.

As you did with your pharma site, removing the middleman and being the direct payor is a massive cost savings. That's the path fwd.
Get The Facts About Government Spending
Government spending shouldn't be a black box. We turn complex data into clear, non-partisan insights so every Canadian knows where their money goes.

To put some colour on that, in Canada our tax allocation to healthcare is less than what the US already taxes people.

I used to say to people, be better consumers, demand to get something for what you pay for.

Happy to share what I know, having worked in the administrative side of US and Canadian HC. In addition to some work in other jurisdictions.

I'm not sure that's correct. When FFS is compared in a city the rates vary wildly, and don't have a strong correlation to outcomes.
