It's the first Monday morning of a new brand new month.

In astronomy, this is called a Syzygy. It's when three or more celestial bodies--like the sun, moon, and Earth--align.

When it comes to starting something big in your life, today is a Syzygy.

Three years from now, what will you recall as the biggest thing you did in 2025? For me, it will be having written my first ever novel.

What's your "biggest thing" for 2025?

If you're not sure, there are five months left in the year to answer.

It's the start of a new month ... on a Friday?

It feels like a new month should always start on Monday. Oh well, the Gregorian calendar is one thing I don't control.

On my morning walk, I focused on the BIG things I want to do in August.

As I heard someone say recently, GET AFTER IT!

If you're starting a new project, you don't have to start at the beginning.

Start wherever you have the most energy and passion.

If that's somewhere in the middle, start there.

It’s okay if your first step is a whisper. Momentum doesn’t care how loud you are.

The weekend starts on Friday night—but so can your next big idea. Maybe you'll wake up with one tomorrow.

You don’t have to be confident to begin. Confidence comes after the starting line.

The Catholic Church chooses a Pope who appears to be a voice for the poor and marginalized. Maybe we actually can have nice things.

S2E8 and E9 of Andor were some of the best, most relevant episodes of TV I’ve ever seen. Star Wars writing has never been better, or more important to the times.

I'm pretty sure I'll be thinking about "Eulogy," one of the new episodes of Black Mirror. One of the very best things they've ever done. Heartfelt, beautiful, thoughtful. Paul Giamatti is just brilliant. Go watch. And hug the people you love.

Your child heading to college is a huge milestone—for you, too. You showed up. You guided. You raised a human.

So don’t skip the part where you celebrate yourself. Mark the moment. You’ve earned that.

If your child is heading off to college, you’re in a transition. And one thing that can really help?

📍 Mark the moment.

Rituals help us feel grounded—especially when life feels uncertain. Put a punctuation mark at the end of this chapter... So you can begin the next one with clarity and strength.

Severance goes out on the highest way possible. Brilliant. I screamed, cried, yelled at TV. Loved the 1970s vibe at end, including the homage to ending of Butch Cassidy.

With an atmospheric river of rain arriving tomorrow, all these recent earthquakes better read the room.

There was more plot in the one minute "Previously On #Severance" recap then in all the rest of episode 8. But when they finally did get to some plot...oh my.

Good Monday morning, or as I like to think of it, 82 hours until the next episode of #Severance drops.

I think several Emmy nominations were earned tonight on #Severance. Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman great work.

Crazy how many "relationships" this show can create out of two characters and a brilliant premise.

Also, Mark got TWO fortune cookies, and didn't open either.

It’s important to be flexible when making plans on Thursday evening. Especially when Apple TV sends you a notification that they just changed your plans for you. #severance
