Probably should avoid playing it in or near restaurants or supermarkets.

That explains why it has Twitter as an option but not Bluesky. Thought that was a little weird at the current time.

I guess I've always struggled with why someone else, regardless of method, would want to invest in these companies that seem to have a clock on their survival.

Who is providing the cash for the VCs to cash out and why? Are those second set of investors just hoping to sell off to a third set (etc...) before the company with no market craters?

It doesn't really pull punches.

Mr. Kennedy also assumes that people acquired and retain the scientific literacy to understand and evaluate published research.

I guess I was struggling to see this as the simple path.

I guess I reject the idea that Article 3 can't address the USG using the same language as Article 2. Either the whole Constitution applies or none of it does.

Did the EO they're trying to enjoin list every agency it applies to? Because if it didn't, why do the plaintiffs?

I think the third word is DOMINA. Which makes more sense? My Latin is rather non-existent.
April 29, 2025 at 1:37 PM
Can you make out the Latin in the bottom of the seal?

I definitely found the video entertaining. Nice job!

If Trump goes very wide with pardons, do you think (assuming it becomes possible) that future politicians may consent to ICC jurisdiction so members of this administration can face trial and/or punishment? Would pardons cover ICC-related crimes?

VStudio and VSCode are two different products. It would make sense to install VSCode for working with Python and Python does have several useful data analysis libraries. Installing VStudio would be a *much* bigger deal because it includes compilers for several compiled languages.

Return of the squirrel cosplay when?
April 22, 2025 at 2:53 AM
You made it! So glad to see you here. Welcome!

We need an "about to throw up but haven't actually started yet" emoji.

Ironically, we can be pretty sure Canada's not included here.
April 10, 2025 at 1:15 AM
At least you'll have more content for your podcast.
April 9, 2025 at 8:48 AM
Are you writing everything on a typewriter?
April 8, 2025 at 2:50 AM
I think part of the problem is that we have seen administrative stays that have dragged on for months (though not necessarily from SCOTUS). Those extended stays taint the integrity of the entire federal judiciary.
April 7, 2025 at 8:08 PM
What do you mean "trick"? He'll probably write a 25 skeet thread on the history of tie widths with just a simple question.

I think your description of the trade deficit ratio calculation is incorrect. The numerator should be the trade deficit (exports minus imports) and not just imports. The denominator should be imports and not exports like you describe. Sorry if I'm missing something here.

I had been reluctant to amplify the theory that Trump's "reciprocal tariff rate" for a given country was based on the dumb calculation: (bilateral trade deficit) divided by (imports from that country)

But now USTR has confirmed it. Brief 🧵
