Other German states already have them, and now Brandenburg is set to follow suit: randomly selected citizens' assemblies. The state parliament is expected to pass a resolution to this effect in September 2025.

Es werden dort immer die üblichen Verdächtigen sein. Eher weiß als POC, eher männlich als weiblich, eher mit hohem Bildungsniveau als mit niedrigem etc. pp. Es existiert die gleiche Selektion wie bei allen althergebrachten Beteiligungsformaten auch.

Im Bürgerräten ändern Menschen ständig ihre Meinung, weil sie andere Perspektiven kennenlernen und voneinander lernen.

Wer nicht die Perspektiven ganz unterschiedlicher Menschen zu einem Thema kennengelernt hat, hat letztlich immer nur seine beschränkt Weltsicht mit dem jeweiligen Bias im Kopf.

Die Diskussion, die by the way wie viele andere zeigt, dass ein digitaler Austausch nicht zielführend ist. Ohne persönliche Begegnung auf Augenhöhe beharrt jeder auf seiner Meinung und das Ganze eskaliert 🤷‍♂️

Wir drehen uns im Kreis. Wie schon einmal erläutert, geht es bei der Losdemokratie ums Prinzip, nicht um die athenische Ausführung. Und wie schon einmal erläutert, halten wir uns heute auf anderen Kontinenten auch noch immer viele Sklaven.

In Athen waren alle Männer über 30 beteiligt, z.B. auch die vielen Galeeren-Ruderer, weil man sie für die Kriege brauchte. Also musste man ihnen im Gegenzug die vollen Bürgerrechte geben.

Wie haben Wahldemokratien angefangen? Die Autoren der US-Verfassung waren Großgrundbesitzer und Sklavenhalter. Allesamt männlich.

Das Internet ist ein Ort voller struktureller Machtungleichheit mit Wirkungsmacht in den Händen weniger…

Die athenische Demokratie wurde von einem Adligen erfunden. Sie hat den Adel nicht entmachtet, sondern den Rest der Bevölkerung mit diesem gleichgestellt.
