They always told me to be proud of being Native and I didn't listen. I was scared that I wasn't "Native enough" and I might not be... who knows. I am who I am and I want to be proud. I want to make my ancestors proud.

I was always worried that I am too white and that "barely native" even where there is a lot of Native people in my family. I was raised with Native ways of life. I still worry that I am too white and that I am too far removed. I worry about it a lot. But this is not the time for it.
