How is this weird? Since he was clearly already negotiating to build hotels there, he was clearly already planning to take control of the region. I wouldn’t be surprised if he made his own country.

I’m thinking it’s part of those protest groups. I almost joined one a couple of weeks ago. It’s like a phone tree where they send you a message and ask you to disseminate it on all your socials.
