Demotikos. Fair warning: I have zero tolerance or sympathy for autocrats or oligarchs. My views on them may be “extreme.”
If the destruction of Muscovy is a tragedy of the Ukrainian people, then it is a tragedy worth celebrating. 600 years of Muscovite tyranny, absolutism, imperialism, and obscurantism - high time it ended. And who better to end it than the Ukrainians, whose wayward prince started the whole fiasco?

(1) withdraw all 🇷🇺 troops from areas w/in pre-2014 borders;
(2) pay reparations for damage & violation of past agreements;
(3) return all 🇺🇦 citizens in 🇷🇺 custody.
A 4th point should be all 🇷🇺 citizens who’ve moved to 🇺🇦 post 2014 must leave 🇺🇦 w/in 60 days.
And 5th: All past agreements are rescinded.

(3) return all 🇺🇦 citizens in 🇷🇺 custody.

3/ A government that is demonstrably not committed to those principles is not a government to be defended, but rather a tyranny to be pulled down.That is what I think the oath of every service man or woman means. It’s what the pledge of allegiance means too. We need to remember that.

2/ It’s not the institutions and procedures, or the representatives in Congress, or the judges with their life terms of office. It’s much more basic. The oath is not to the Constitution per se, but rather to ‘We, the People.’ It’s to equality. To justice. To liberty. To tolerance.

3/ Please read my lengthy embedded post. It begins to explain. Why voting and elections are the problem. We need a totallly new operating system -and ancient Athens shows us the way. And to get that system, Krasnov and the whole rotten administration must be razed to the ground. In solidarity!

2/ The oligoi. The oligarchs. Only by overthrowing the ‘republics’- an oligarchic institution if ever there was one - and giving dedicated, democratic citizens the responsibility of governing, as in Classical Athens, can we free ourselves from the disaster of government by the corrupt.

1/ Yes we will. The People have forgotten it is they who are the real power, the Sovereign, the State. Voting - and elections - are the lever by which the oligarchs gain and keep power. What drives elections? Money. And who has that money? Not the People; the billionaires and billionaire-adjacent.

The Trump administration in the US has abandoned Ukraine — this is a fact we must accept. Europeans should stop purchasing US weapons and instead prioritize strengthening the European defense industry as quickly as possible. All European citizens should pressure their respective gvt on this matter.
