Making art is not all joy and fungus reanimated bunnies! That’s okay. That’s normal. That’s part of why art is important and also why artists and writers need to be paid for their work. If you keep dragging yourself back even when it’s hard, you’re doing fine.

I use over the counter lactase tablets sometimes when I want a special treat I know I would regret otherwise. I think Lactaid is the US brand name version? I don’t even know if we get that here, they seem to all be generics.

What fat % is that? Actual Gouda-from-Gouda is typically at least 50% fat in the dry fraction.

I really appreciate you publishing Ursula’s books, but marketing the entire back catalogue as ‘brand new’ seems a little disingenuous. Sure, they’re new editions, but they came out years ago. I can think of a lot more to say for these than the generic ‘new.’

(Also, it’s not really anonymous, the posts about physical books show an author name on the cover, Toivo Kaartinen)

They post more context to the blog or in the ALT text sometimes and there are author bio’s, Q&A’s etc. I didn’t go out of my way to find out, I just picked it up along the way, like I know T Kingfisher/Ursula Vernon is married to Kevin because she posts about it sometimes or co-hosts his podcast.

Oh, looks like you missed some of the background deep lore😊 Green Fox and Blue Fox are canonically based on the author’s relationship. He, Blue Fox, is a cis man, Green Fox is a trans man. Cool coloured foxes are usually men and warm coloured women, with some mixed colours for non-binary and others👍

Transmasc Green Fox isn’t as good at staying warm partly because of the two puberties thing. Hormones help (on the whole testosterone dominant people run hotter), but they don’t completely erase some first puberty quirks. So the heat stealing continues 😊
