found a way to see Wicked: For Good a bit earlier. these are my thoughts!
Wicked: For Good review by threephantomrey that reads: “AMAZING!!! i loved this so so much!! very emotional. i'm so glad the Wicked musical got to be adapted into two very beautiful films. will definitely be adding this to my list of favorite movies. Marissa Bode gives a phenomenal performance as Nessarose Thropp in both films, but especially in this one. her manipulating Boq and being desperate not to let him go, her begging her sister Elphaba to stay when Elphaba finally gives up on her, her sadness, her happiness, her anger, her screams, and the way she portrays the threatening and serious governor Nessa are all very well done. her version of "Wicked Witch of the East" was great! i'm so glad Marissa was happy with the changes made in that scene and that now we're getting the song on the soundtrack, especially since it's one of my favorite songs from act 2 and Nessarose is one of my favorite Wicked characters. Nessa is a character that always wanted to be properly loved for who she is without people coddling her or feeling pity for her because she's in a wheelchair, and Marissa understands that and portrays it very well. i loved seeing her toxic relationship with Boq in this one, and the tornado scene with Nessa was awesome. i'm SO excited to see what Marissa Bode does after Wicked, she's my favorite cast member and i hope she thrives in this industry. that's MY wicked witch of the east and i love her!❤️” “Ethan Slater gives an excellent performance as Boq Woodsman here. his haunting "what have you done to me?" line when he turns into a certain creature that a lot of people are familiar with and his performance during "March of the Witch Hunters" are incredible, and so was his final interaction with Nessa. "March of the Witch Hunters" was done extremely well here in general. it went so hard. baby Glinda is the cutest thing i've ever seen. the casting? perfect. she looks just like Ariana. i actually started tearing up when she was on screen😭 adult Glinda in this movie was great as well, i loved her "I'm Not That Girl" reprise and the way she defeated Madame Morrible and the Wizard. "Thank Goodness" was great. Ariana Grande's performance here was incredible, even better than the first movie! the "Girl In The Bubble" song was fine imo, i'll probably like it more later on, but it has awesome vocals. the "As Long As You're Mine" scene was lovely! what happened in that scene, the vocals, and the way Elphaba and Fiyero floated in the air were magnificent! it was so sweet and tender. Elphaba in this movie in general was amazing. her anger, her determination, her smiles, the way she fought the Wizard, her broom ride with Glinda, and her relationship with the animals were so entertaining. "No Good Deed" was one of the best performed songs here, Cynthia Erivo delivered the energy PERFECTLY!” "For Good," the melting scene, and the finale were all very emotional and incredible scenes. the impact was crazy. will never recover mentally from that last shot or the door shot with Elphaba and Glinda (affectionate) Michele Yeoh did a very good job as Madame Morrible in both films. the scene where she tells Glinda to shut up here was acted out very nicely. her annoyance with Glinda is so funny. also i enjoyed the "Everyday More Wicked" song. the new lyrics added were very good. the colors in this movie were also soooo beautiful!!! a lot of lesbian flag colors in Oz, as there should be! the flashbacks, especially to Shiz and how everyone there once was were so good. Dorothy's cameos were fun to watch. that poor girl was dealing with too much she just wanted to go home😭 in conclusion, thank you Shiz University, Emerald City, Governor's Mansion, the Wizard's palace, the land of Oz, the poppy fields, Glinda's house, and Munchkin land. i had a great time and i'll never forget any of this.”

It also seems to have inspired the Go Go Mystery Machine series that was announced last year. It got a sequel (which gave us one of my other favorites of all time, Vincent's ancestor Asamad Van Ghoul aka Asmodeus, the 13th ghost. I also love him very much, and he's my favorite of the 13 Ghosts! That movie also gave us Vincent's ex friend Mortifer Quinch who I actually ship Vincent with) that started a whole trilogy, and the last movie of that trilogy was referenced in the movie The Sword and the Scoob. It gave the gang new looks, which would also happen in later entries of the franchise. Daphne's outfit in 13 Ghosts is a big deal, as at that point in the franchise, it was hard to find a female member of the gang wearing pants. Her wearing that outfit broke gender norms, was modern and stylish for the time, it made Daphne the first Scooby character to really catch up with a new era, and you could even say it kickstarted the "Daphne is a fashionista" thing which has been so present in the franchise in the years to come after. Daphne is also put in a position of leadership, as she was for the two seasons prior to 13 Ghosts, which is SO important because they're dealing with real and dangerous ghosts in every episode and she's leading the gang to victory. So many things are possible because of 13 Ghosts. That's what we call IMPACT!!! 13 Ghosts is so genuine. Never afraid to be itself. It's so creative, it's never afraid to try something new. I love how the ghosts from the chest are always different from each other, it makes them all stand out! 13 Ghosts really feels like a show made with a lot of love, it feels so positive, it's so fun! I'm a big fan of media that feels like that. I'm so glad the show has a loyal fanbase, and that it has gotten more appreciation in recent years. It's a great show that deserves so much love! Vincent Van Ghoul is the person I want to be. He is a kind, loving person, and will help others, but you don't want to anger him. He seems creepy and unsettling but he is very comforting at the same time. I love how he becomes the gang's father figure, it's so sweet! I love how Shaggy and Scooby go from being afraid of him in episode 1 to doing everything they can (along with the other gang members) to save Vincent from Nekara in episode 7. We love character development! One of my favorite lines in the entire show is Vincent saying "Nekara, your fate is sealed with a kiss" as she's being trapped in the Chest of Demons and one of my favorite scenes in the entire show is when Flim Flam defeats Professor Phantazmo with his magic whip. SO cool. As my friend Duck once said, 13 Ghosts has stood the test of time. Truly a timeless show. I watched it for the first time in 2018, and while I definitely liked it then, I hadn't become hyperfixated over it until November of that year. Ever since then, I have been thinking about 13 Ghosts everyday, and I probably will for the rest of my life. This show is going to be not only my favorite Scooby show, but also my favorite show of all time forever, and I'm happy about that. I love talking about this show all the time. Thank you to Daphne Blake, Shaggy Rogers, Scooby Doo, Scrappy Doo, Flim Flam, Vincent Van Ghoul, and Bogel & Weerd. back from my break🥳 and i’ve got something to say about my favorite show turning 40 today!
13 Ghosts Prologue written by threephantomrey: 40 years. It's a very rare occurrence to find a show that completely changes, not only your life, but every part of you as a person. But it's possible, and I know it's possible because that's what the 1985 series The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, did to me. When I think of 13 Ghosts, I don't just think about the characters or the Chest of Demons or the opening theme, I also think about the world it takes place in, all it can be and all the lore. I think of all the ideas, videos, edits, fan fiction and fanart, original characters, and daydreams I came up with thanks to the show. All my favorite lines, my favorite episodes, all the musical num-bers, my favorite scenes, and all the fan-made works based on the show from other people that I've seen. I think of my friend Rose, who I met in 2020 through her 13 Ghosts fanfics she started writing that year. I think of all the songs that remind me of the show, the universe, and the characters. I think of how it's always been in my life since 2018. No matter what was going on in my life, or how I felt, I could just close my eyes and be in the world of 13 Ghosts for a bit. I even tried showing it to my irl friends that know nothing about Scooby Doo a few years ago, that's how much I love it! Once a Scooby creator that I like said that 13 Ghosts is such a unique entry in the franchise, and I think that's a perfect way to describe the show. There's no other Scooby series like 13 Ghosts. The campiness and silliness, while absolutely present in other Scooby media, was turned up to an 11 in 13 Ghosts. Not every Scooby series has real monsters being at the forefront of the show and the monsters being a serious threat, or Vincent Price voicing a main character for all of its episodes. 13 Ghosts also has an overarching storyline, and it's actually the first Scooby series to have one! (@ Get A Clue and SDMI, you better call up 13 Ghosts right now and thank her!) Not every Scooby series can have an episode where it's canon that the gang are being filmed and broadcasted on TV as they go on their adventures, and the show they're on has the exact same name as the show we, the audience, are watching. It's truly a special series <3 13 Ghosts has had more impact on the Scooby Doo franchise than a lot of people might think. It being the first Scooby series to have an overarching plot proved that Scooby COULD take on a more serious threat while being serialized. (Yes, the show was very goofy and silly, BUT some of the ghosts were genuinely threatening and creepy like Nekara and Zomba) It introduced the character of Vincent Van Ghoul (one of my all time favorites, I love him SO SO much!!) who was able to make multiple other appearances in the franchise since then. Flim Flam, another character who debuted in the series, even came back over 30 years later. The meta-ness, self referential humor, and 4th wall breaking that you see in other entries in the franchise like A Pup Named Scooby Doo, Be Cool, and a lot of modern Scooby can be traced back to 13 Ghosts. 13 Ghosts started the red shirt Shaggy era. The series has also been referenced a few times in later entries in the franchise like SDMI and Guess Who, it was even referenced in the song "Land of A Million Drums" by Outkast on the soundtrack for the 2002 Scooby Doo live action movie.

my thoughts on Virgin, Lorde’s new album:
text that says “i liked it! it was certainly an interesting album (not in a bad way of course, a good way actually). my favorite songs: What Was That, Man of the Year, Favourite Daughter, Current Affairs, and Broken Glass. that one line in Current Affairs that said “girl, your pussy good” LMAOOOO. i though Shapeshifter was going to be a trans anthem and i guess it kinda is since when i looked it up it said it was about her personal identity? but it’s also really about her romantic relationships so im not sure. when Lorde said “last year was bad” in Broken Glass i felt that😔 i had an awful 2024. omg the Pure Heroine reference in David!!!! we love to see it!! the “he died of a broken heart” line in Favourite Daughter reminded me of my OC Ophelia. some parts of this album reminded me of Melodrama, other parts reminded me of Solar Power, and some of Pure Heroine. i think overall it reminded me of Melodrama more than the other 2 albums but only really the sound, not the lyrics.”
