A lot of what Kindel was doing was pure young Jordan Staal. Defensively sound. In the right place basically always. Clever passes. Blocking shots. Going to the battle areas without hesitation.

Those are the things that can let an 18 y/o stick around, because they never go out of style.

Those are begrudgingly acceptable reasons for him being on the roster (though I still think they had enough of those types), I just think there are better options in this group for the RW2 spot.
