This morning Uganda announced a new Ebola outbreak.

The last time there was an Ebola outbreak in Uganda, the CDC worked with the WHO on helping end it.

But now, the CDC can’t even talk to the WHO.

I repeat, again and again, this is pure stupidity that will only hurt us.

During the period covered by the report, there were at least 136 strikes on at least 27 hospitals & 12 other medical facilities. More than 500 medical professionals have been killed in Gaza since 7 October.
The report notes that several of these acts may amount to war crimes/crimes against humanity.

This is just outrageous. #FEWSNET issued a #famine warning for North #Gaza. The US pushed them to retract and remove the report. What a shameful and unacceptable example of political manipulation of #humanitarian aid, systems and tools by a donor country.

While many of us celebrate Christmas around the world, the IPC released new figures on #Sudan, showing severe deterioration of the food security and the spread of #famine. I can’t imagine what the situation look like for millions of ppl. And it is the harvest season.

We are devastated to learn that a doctor at Al-Awda Hospital in north Gaza, run by ActionAid’s partner Al-Awda, has been killed by Israeli forces. The staff member was shot on his way to work at the hospital and died from his injuries, despite the efforts of colleagues who tried to save him. 1/4
