My single largest complaint I have after two years with my Ford Lightning is changing the temperature in the cabin. Bring back the knobs!

In what way are either of those two things socialism? The means of production are in the hands of capitalist regardless of those two things existing. That is a form of welfare, not socialism.

My point was not that I think people should believe as I do. My point was that if I mention legislating Lent people rightly think I am crazy. However, if I mention legislating abortion all of a sudden many think that is a positive thing... even though both idea's are born from the same place.

Of course Lent is man made. It is a tradition handed down by the early Church to its adherents today. Catholics do not believe in "Sola scriptura", much of our Faith is set by Tradition and the Church via Councils and Rome, but is absent from scripture.

I think abortion is morally wrong. I also think eating meat during Lent is morally wrong. Does not mean I want either of the above legislated. It's like people look at countries that do have religious / Sharia law and go "that looks neat, we should do that here".
