I watched The Wild Robot.

Absolutely beautiful. Great use of symbolism, and it expertly handled the theme of motherhood. It's a feminine movie in a way princess films often aren't.

Bonus points for making me cry.

I should watch Arcane, on the animation front. Feeling cautious about the new HTTYD.

The state of healthcare in Alberta, Christ.

Collected a sample for a test at my doctor's clinic. She told me that the lab doesn't pick up Friday samples anymore. If I want the results sooner than Monday, I need to drive there to drop it off myself.

Those days matter if I need antibiotics. WTAF.

Seriously, academia is wack.

Sure, I'll do research, but even my own PI thinks it's weird that I'm just doing this master's as a stepping stone towards a teaching position.

Stick me in a tiny college so I can teach computing to the underprivileged kids. I don't give a damn about my h-index.

My favourite cheater so far this semester was some kid who put the assignment through ChatGPT, copied its response word for word into a notebook... then submitted the most awful, poorly angled photos.

It was math. He was supposed to show his work, line by line, not write a proof.
