A school friend of mine had a website called Stickman Slaughterhouse back in the day. For a time these were the big thing on the internet. Before cats and cheezburgers and the onion, the oatmeal and now it’s just horrendous racism

I wonder how long liquid glass was being worked on - quite significant changes being made from reveal to release and now. The timeframe is quite short for such a range of tweaks and changes - makes me think that it was half cooked coming out of the oven but needed to hit the deadline.

but it is possible, even without things like Rockbox - so I guess that's a bit of a win for Linux overall, someone somewhere is going to make a tool, even if it is from 2006 and it somehow is still going to work. Amazing.

the latest problem to solve is getting a way to update my iPod through Linux Mint. There are old tools out there, so I've just had to spend some time finding out how to get them running - seems that it's working now, so that's good.

Very much aware that trying to use an iPod in 2025 is not ideal

- Installed Rockbox on an old iPod
- Organised my deskF
- Troubleshooted why my Kindle has such bad WiFi.
- Started a case study on an app (that I don't need to do)
- Hoovered, mopped and polished the flat (twice)
- Researched how to sew in to PU leather (bought wrong size case for keyboard)

- Bought a new mouse (MX Master 3S - cheap because the 4 just came out)
- Changed browsers so I can better sync across mac and linux
- Created a new email address and starting moving things over to that from gmail.
- Migrated to a new password manager
- Migrated to a new authenticator
...PTO(again)

Figma is really versatile, but I think a lot of people just jump striaght in to it and make it their own thing - which isn't great in the long-term.

There are tools and capabilities of the software that exist for a reason - and it's better for everyone to take the time to learn and utilise them!

Some designers use Figma as just a tool to enter PNGs and hook up prototypes - others just draw lines between screens.

Some designers used it as their design tool, creating graphics and images directly in Figma itself.

Some made components, others (most) didn't.

how much time have you put in to it now?

The Grand Appeal are such a small, but incredibly passionate team. I know how much effort they've put in to the trail, the exhibition and the auction - they should be so so proud to have delivered something that means a huge amount to the people of Bristol.
