Fantastisch!

I’d like more sounds, in particular placement sounds of ordinary objects as in Unpacking.

Is Sektori also available on other stores such as Epic, itch or GOG? Any plans to put it there, too? If not, what would be the reasons? Asking for myself. 😁

I also appreciate this meta commentary by IMDb in the “More like this” section.

Can you share the company if you can recommend it?

Could never get this picture out of my head:

Even the aesthetically “good” shaders on shadertoy are a far cry from average outputs of the generative art community. And my hypothesis would be that that is because they have a wider range of interest (art-wise) and/or are more educated in this regard.

To improve aesthetically, there’s no way around checking out other art forms more deeply. Predominately (but not only) visual arts. For example, if you compare the average output of the generative art community with the average output on shadertoy the difference is striking.

Watchlist ungefähr so lang wie die Steam Wishlist: um die 70.

So much to watch, so little time.

Bin auch eher Verfechter des szenischen Films/Kinofilms, aber es gibt Ausnahmen, die die Regel bestätigen. Eine Serie wie „The Wire“ macht tatsächlich was, wofür ein Kinofilm i. A. zu kurz ist. Entfernte Verbindungspunkte aufmachen, größere Kausalketten erzählen, langfristige Entwicklungen zeigen.

Watched “Repo Man” for the first time yesterday after I read it is one of PTA’s favorite movies. Explains why “One Battle After Another” looks like it does.

My favorite album would be „Sierra tracks“ by Vega Trails. Check out this track: youtu.be/br5xSJfrJj0?...

Proves that the GTA series cannot be satirical anymore.

What about system load and energy efficiency. Any feeling how much that suffers by going through Proton instead of a native Linux build?
November 12, 2025 at 10:04 PM
Overall, it’s still impressive, I guess, but when it doesn’t work it can be very frustrating. I once played through God of War in 90min sessions because after that time it would always run into some Proton memory leak or something. 😁

I‘m all for enhancing Linux support but I must object when you say things „just run“. A third of a time things don’t just run on my Steam deck and I have to deal with tweaking configs, Proton versions or the like. Closed consoles are still much better at this, especially the Switch.

I think there are no projects anymore where the first thing I do is to write a types header which defines all POD types how I want them to write anyway. 😬

I remember seeing the original Matrix teaser trailer in 1999 in a theater and it really was something else. It contains no dialogue and ends with a deep bass that totally does not come across on a typical end user device. It was a cinematic experience in the best sense. youtu.be/deXW5kTD9Vs?...
