When I were a lad in the 1980's, a friend's mother raised tropical birds. One cockatoo learned to ring like the telephone; it would then laugh at anyone who ran into the kitchen to answer it. I loved that little jerk with all my heart.

Reminds me of watching Bob Ross, lo, these many years ago. Regularly put a big tree in front of a beautiful background he'd spent 15 minutes painting because, well, that's where that tree belonged. It bothered me at the time, but I have a deep respect for it now.
