It's so simple and just works with minimal explanation. I still remember parts where Belgarath is teaching Garion. And that damn loose step in the tower haha.

I did read about the Eddings and their peculiarities... And the books don't hold up to current standards. But man do I miss the simplicity.

I'm tempted to do a re-read of the Belgariad and Mallorian (my teenage books) after a visit to my folks place. Now you've got me worried 😅
