just annoys me specifically in this case bc everyone is getting pissy about this but every time i watch a YT video on my tv app where there's no adblock, i see the same ass shit, on top of even worse propaganda ads so it's like. what are we even doing here with the righteousness attitudes on it

no ethical consumption under capitalism. all of the major companies that do things like music streaming either have ads for That Agency or are complicit with the administration in other ways. there's no moral highground here, only making choices to protect your own peace

there comes a point where you have to pick and choose your battles. if you see value in boycotting a service, do it! but lambasting other people because you've chosen one specific thing to stand behind when it's all over the place really just rings as performative to me

i can tell you exactly why this happened, which is the even more annoying part bc i purposely check these specific things like 5-10 times before i finalize to avoid this very thing from happening

I could've told you weeks ago that doing this on a Tuesday was fucking dumb, nobody in this dept is in office Tuesdays so now you've made us all come in to sit around and do what we can do at home, instead of just scheduling this for tomorrow when we're usually all here anyway 🙄
