And the cost will be even higher- AI companies already share plans to build more of their energy and water-sucking data centers. And we already know how much those impact people living nearby them- getting more of those will be a disaster to many places.

why the hell are people using genai for gposes

just load up gpose, adjust the weather on brio, play with the bone machine on anam, fiddle with the lighting on ktisis, toggle through reshade filters, struggle with post-processing, and scream at image compression when uploading like the rest of us

I would say it detects certain kinds of blur effects as sign of genAI because that's one of the most common tells when Ai tries to add that weirdly soft and "too perfect" blurry light effect 🤔

There's editing your shaders to give it a look.
There's using overlays (made by people not AI) to give a look
There's learning to use an editing program the old way to get the feel you want.
There's drawing over your screenshots as an artist to get the feel you want.

And I saw few such cases of good gposers, with skill to already create good stuff who reached so low to use genAI. It sucks so much, because WHAT FOR? Just to make it more "shiny" to attract more eyes? Such lame downfall.

the fact of NOT using generative AI in anything makes any person superior in a given art/creative space/etc

The simple thing of refusing to use this shit is already making a person several layers better than anyone who support it.
