One of my research projects is the use of overlapping editing in action films, and I am currently researching its history. The plate-smashing scene in Battleship Potemkin (1925) is an early instance, and its fragmentation of continuity has been described as Cubist in nature.

ngl my favorite part of Buddy Daddies has been Miri! tbh she's such an adorable character 🥹 her joy and innocence is so precious, every scene that she's in is filled with happiness and it's so beautiful 😭 she's truly one of the best characters in any media I've engaged with recently, she's amazing!
