Just a note for people that use/archive encrypted communications, much of it will likely be decodeable eventually with quantum tools.

FYI. Russia and its allies conduct cybersecurity attacks against American IT networks constantly. I know this from decades in professional big tech cybersec. Just heard we're not going to fight this anymore. Assume critical systems are or will soon be pwned. Proceed accordingly. Thanks MAGA.

quick question, request for advice. I'm planning to move off of google/meta/openai etc (basically check the inauguration stage) and I'm fairly dependent on some of these. What pro-human tech services do people use?

People should know about the Bullshit Assymetry Principal as they listen to dumb arguments. It is 10x harder to counter bullshit than it is to produce it. Almost not worth arguing with bullshit.

Trillions are outside of our ability to intuitively process. "Saving trillions by rooting out studies about amphibian reproduction" is apples and oranges. If someone doesnt understand that it, is hard to get past it. It can be demonstrated using Bayes Theorem... i think you can prove it with math.

I also think this a contributor to our political divide as citizens can read all day ("do your research"), but their infosphere is so large,(ahem, algorithms), that they never leave their own data bubble. So even with good intentions, smart people can think the world IS what they see. Both sides.

To list "wastefull" programs to counter the dismantling of government and the services it provides with this argument is exploiting a logical fallacy called the Base Rate fallacy.

I would like someone testifying to congress to explain the base rate fallacy to republicans. Big things defy peoples ability to have perspective. When you say "12 thousand dollars spent on protecting the transgendered", it sounds big to citizens. But it is not.

I'm a little reassured by the faces I see in all the videos of the rallies. Many seniors. Boomers got this kind of shit, in particular! Apologize to your boomers and ask them what the fuck.

I'm not sure I've been so pissed off about so many things at the same time.
