The Holidays bring up a lot for no contact/estranged family member but my husband told me my siblings don’t understand because they aren’t here to see how much happier I’ve been. That was somehow very validating for me.

Having executive dysfunction is like being trapped inside a glass box staring at the thing you want to do (dishes/hobby/hygiene) but being unable to do it because you are trapped in the box.

I’m so jealous of the people longing for their childhoods. They got to be carefree and happy. I was so worried and depressed with no safe place. I’ll happily pay my adult bills to feel emotionally and physically safe in my own home.

My pet peeve is when people refuse to admit that ADHD is a disability and that people who have it are disabled. Refusing that is abolish which can be internalized. Disabled/disability isn’t a bad word!
