Basil loves the warmth so long as it's being watered. I can grow basil in an Aussie summer.

Cilantro/coriander is a winter planting here, although I have seen it do well under shadecloth in summer. (again, well-watered)

For coriander in hot climates, make a "microclimate": so planting something like coriander in mostly shade, or possibly inside or under shade cloth.
