Every once in a while, I play around with my Surface Laptop Go. I really like the form factor. I think really it's just the 3:2 aspect ratio. It's otherwise a dog with a hot/loud/slow Intel CPU with a short battery life. It doesn't hold a candle to my older M1 Air.

I like to use the Claude web app sometimes to experiment and iterate on web designs. But the tool call for patching/making edits to HTML seems pretty broken. I should probably just do this sort of stuff from Claude Code but sometimes I'm doing this from other devices like my iPad. :(

Coding agents like Claude Code provide relief for decision fatigue. As developers, we make decisions all day. Some big, many small. Being able to delegate some of those, especially on less important decisions leaves more energy for better decision making on more important ones.

One reason I like TypeScript is because of “progressive strictness”. I can quickly experiment and crank up the types as my ideas clarify and my implementations mature.

But generally for APIs, I find my golang implementations to have much lower response times and memory utilization.

I find “vibe coding” via an agent to be hit or miss still with tasks beyond just basic tasks. However even some of those take some time/attention manually.

I like being able to vibe code away a task on my to-do list when my primary attention is elsewhere (watching a video, in a meeting *cough*).
