For viewing if clear-ish skies - just find a spot where you can set up a lounge chair or lay on the ground and bundle up! View of the whole sky is best. Try to find a dark place, line up street lights etc behind a house or tree or something to make your sky as dark as possible. Also, patience.

Ehhh it does seem pretty cloudy all through the night tonight and tomorrow in much of NS. I like the app Astrospheric to see predicted cloud conditions. I've found cloud predictions to be less than ideal lately so, I mean, we may have some spots of clear skies (but I personally am not going out)

gosh, for each of my three dogs, i called a dozen or so vets around Halifax and surrounding areas and received wildly different estimates from different vets, even in the same neighbourhoods; from 500-800+. My dog's $580 w/tax neuter included the optional cost of bloodwork, meds, and whatever else

depends on the size and type of pet but, uh, my 20-lb dog cost about $600 a year and a bit ago. different vets will have different prices throughout HRM

popping into the middle of the thread here to agree with the others that it is not at all stupid but in fact totally reasonable being so upset about not being able to have sugar. It sucks, it's unfair!

Confirming it's been out in the Atrium most of the afternoon. BGO on Loyola 24 was also out from its wired network. It might be sorta back now, intermittently.
(Are there notices sent out for planned outages? Would be useful for me to know)

thanks Jen! I laughed about the absurdity of the situation by myself in the elevator and I'm glad there weren't others with me. It's been a couple of months and I'm, ah, well, I'm here. "Ok" is not quite true but I'm ✨ ok. ✨

The little robotic imaging telescopes like the Seestar and the Dwarf smart telescopes *are* very cool to get images from, and are a totally different type of experience than looking through a telescope. They're just cameras, no place to look through. Very very cool little things, though!
