I don't know how I feel about this. I'm kind of okay with a "baby's first DQVII" approach, I want more people to dig into the plot and despite my love for it, it used to be hard to rec.
I hope the balance and story don't suffer too much for it...

I could see a potential HD-2D remake trying to give some consequences to the whole "10 years of slavery" into "arranged marriage" plot, but...
