Well I had one weird start to the day. Decided to do some YouTube comment moderation to mute some transphobic commenter on the pronouns essay, only to see "✨ Generate Ideas" AI slop button when I click the drop down menu. I click the button out of morbid curiosity and 😭 look for yourself.
BELOW BE HORRIBLE AI SLOP Disgusting AI slop based on a random transphobic comment I got. I summarized the comment as "Troll comment about how Kris uses he/him but the player is forcing them to use they/them bc we're evil or something." Below are six AI generated YouTube thumbnails and titles based on this prompt. One of them has "Kris" (person with purple hair that doesn't look like Kris) holding a skeleton that looks like clank from ratchet and clank. One of the images has shitty looking double hand thing going on. It's AI slop you know what to expect. Disgusting AI slop based on random UT/DR video ideas, that were probably stolen from other people. Below are six AI generated YouTube thumbnails and titles. They are incomprehensible. One is "Gerson's "Young Man": Unpacking a single Line's impact on Kris" which has what I can only describe as the love child of Jesus and Steve from Minecraft bowing their head, almost like they're praying. I cannot tell if the AI thought that's what Gerson the Turtle looked like, or if that's supposed to be Kris. Another has some generic ass looking 7th gen video game protagonist dude, titled "The Soul vs. Kris: Who's Really in Control? A Deep Dive" The dumbest one is "Exploring the overlooked emotional depth of lesser-known Undertale fangame characters" and has an image of sans fucking undertale, the most well known and popular character form Undertale.

The Hollow Knight Wiki plans to reverse the use of other localizations to gender characters unstated in English.

Doesn't make the original, indirect use of supposed leaked unverifiable documents any less baffling, but at least things are on the right track.
Wiki Mod: Just as a heads-up, we're making a bigger change overall starting tomorrow. Part of that will be to return to using the English language as our basis for genders/lack thereof as well as for pronoun usage on wiki articles. Don't do harassment. But if you're curious, here's the reason why Phantom, Lugoli, Last Judge, ect have suddenly been gendered on the Silksong wiki, when previously they were unstated.

Third, pointing to gendered languages like Spanish is fundamentally flawed. Like, the Outer Wilds devs have confirmed that the hearthians are an agender alien race.

However, when localizing it to Polish they just gave them all male pronouns because they didn't want to make neos.

In Polish, this affects not only pronouns, but also e.g. verb forms. Eventually, we have decided to use male forms, although for a moment we have toyed with the idea of inventing neuter forms – but these would be too unusual for the players.

Apparently the Silksong wiki is using localizations from heavily gendered languages to justify labeling characters like Phantom as "female" and not "unknown" or "enby" because "we have a super secret localization guide we're not sharing or citing."

Toby did mention at the start of the stream that his speech-to-text program might mess up the pronouns, (like it did with Napstablook and Papyrus in the previous stream), so the they/them pronouns for Buzinkai are probably the STT's fault.
Additionally there may be mistakes when referring to certain characters but I'm using speech to text so display my program I mean blame my program you see what I mean not everything I say get entered correct he If I slow down to correct things at all then I will only be able to say half as many things so if you see something that seems wrong just assume it's computer colon right
