A sad Christmas in many ways but joy seeing Redwing and Fieldfare from the garden. That was a great present 🎁 ❤😊🐦

Not been that well recently so a lovely feeling to enjoy a walk around our local common this morning. Plenty of bird song and some very appreciative water birds who gobbled up the duck food! Made it back before the rain!

Police have launched an appeal for information after vandals destroyed Sand Martin nest sites at a Northamptonshire nature reserve:
Vandals destroy Sand Martin nests in Northamptonshire
Vandals have damaged Sand Martin nesting banks at Nene Wetlands in Irthlingborough, throwing nesting tubes into a lake and setting back local conservation efforts. The £3,000 structures had recently begun attracting the migratory birds. Police and the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire Wildlife Trust have condemned the act as criminal and deeply harmful to wildlife.

Small things bring joy like watching the Swifts in the sky (from my sofa). Love the way they seem to feed in pairs. Amazing acrobatics #Swifts

Isabella plantation is simply stunning at the moment.

I used to sit on my sofa and see a sky full of Swifts swirling in the sky. Numbers were down last year. This year.... one.... then happily a pair and today.... three. Let's hope they do well. Anecdotally many homes have stopped them using their nesting sites nearby which is so sad #Balham #Swifts

Photography and Apple friends, what is the best way to copy (not transfer) photos from Photos on an iMac to an external drive please? I have a lot of them! Thankyou. #Mac #Photos #Apple #Help #Advice

A lovely walk around WWT London Wetlands. 50 + birds and missed a few! First Sand Martins of the year for me and enjoyed watching 3 Redshank (1 quite dark one). Blackcap and Chiffchaff singing. Plenty of Gulls and Crows. Lovely to chat to fellow birders @wwtworldwide.bsky.social

Any wheelchair users been to Hever Castle? I'm interested in the access round the gardens, not the castle; their Access Guide suggests a lot of gravel! TIA

@martinlewis.moneysavingexpert.com Interested in your thoughts re distance selling. If I order an item of clothes for example from a company but wish to return them a few days from receiving them as not suitable, is it reasonable they charge a restock fee?

Local #pharmacy now charging £40 month for Monitored dosage systems as well as delivery charge. Whilst I can see pharmacies need to break even, I worry this puts the most vulnerable people at risk. Trying to support someone with dementia to move to #MDS but they're not going to do it for £40 month 😔

Does your pharmacy charge to deliver and provide monitored dosage packs? Recent quote of £60 delivery a year and £40 month for MDPs. Understand pharmacies need to break even but concerned for vulnerable people. What is your experience? #Pharmacy #Delivery #Cost #MDP #Medication

A planned day to WWT Arundel but Southern trains only got a far as Pulborough so change of plan and chance to explore RSPB Pulborough with a White-Tailed Eagle as a year tick. Result!

Spent time on the Rebel Finance School - set up for success 2025 webinar today.
Often set goals but this is a lovely way of reflecting and focusing on all areas of life (not finance specific).
Now to put it all in to action!
Recommended if you feel a structure would help you achieve your goals.

Experienced a CT with contrast this week. It feels like good CPD! Interesting learning what these experiences feel like and understanding our clients more. Ever grateful to my colleague warning me about the contrast sensation otherwise that would have been worrying! Now the wait for the results.

It's certainly cold outside! ❄️ If you’re out exploring this weekend, please be mindful of #birds that will be under extra pressure in these severe conditions and give them the space they need to remain undisturbed. Thank you. 🙂🐦 #UKBirding

A visit to my parents in Wales and chance to see which birds frequent their garden. Sparrows are doing well. We've lost Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Nuthatch and Song and Mistle Thrush. Coal Tit numbers are really dwindling. I sense the birds are having a harder time. Bullfinch was a real joy.

That's a new experience. Direct train from Cardiff Central to London Euston!
