A new chapter begins, and something is wrong. Hopefully the doctor will check his voicemail soon...
Text: "It's been 7 months on Tiger HRT now, and for the most part it's been amazing, but something is really wrong lately. Last Tuesday was the third anniversary of my egg cracking, so what better time to do the obligatory "meeting your past self" comic?

A younger tiger person is approaching from the distance. Alexis: "This is the park behind my parents' old house. When did we land?" Fae: "Looks to be about April 2003." Alexis: "That would make me seventeen. Wait, I think I see me." Panel 2 A closer view of the younger tiger-person. He looks similar to Alexis, but with shorter hair and masculine-presenting. He has tired eyes and a visible frown. Fae: "She looks so sad..." Alexis: "The timeline can handle a few words of encouragement, right?" Panel 3 Alexis and Fae approach the younger Alexis. Old Alexis has a bright look in her eyes, but young Alexis is downcast and hesitant. Past-Alexis: "Bullshit! For one thing, you're a woman, and I'm... not." Alexis: "I'll prove it. Remember how watching magical-girl shows always made us feel kind of weird, but in like a good way? And how we used to wonder how it would feel to wear those anime magical-girl costumes?" Panel 6 Younger Alexis is shocked, embarrassed, and blushing. Past-Alexis: "Th- That's!!" Fae is shown in caricature form, smiling. She says, "Awww, that's actually really cute." Panel 7 Alexis and Fae are both smiling reassuringly to the younger Alexis. Alexis: "That feeling, that euphoria, it's important. Hold onto it, and it'll get you through a lot. Tiger HRT Interlude - Dental Plan Part 4/4

And that's the end of this interlude comic! Wasn't that a nice little slice of life story? Surely life will continue to be all sunshine and roses!

Alexis: "The circle and dash are Theta, for the Greek word therion, meaning wild beast. The triangle is Delta, the mathematical symbol for change." Receptionist: "Change into a wild beast." Alexis: "Now you're getting it. Put it in the front window or something, people like me will know there's a friend here." Narration: "Next time I walked by, the entrance was a bit different." Panel 2: The entrance of a business called Big Smiles Dental, and a front door with signs showing business hours, a progress pride flag accompanied by the text "Everyone is welcome", and a theta-delta accompanied by the text "And we DO mean EVERYONE." What a year this month has been.
