I’m sorry to be so ignorant but what’s a modron and what was Declan’s campaign?

Bloody good. I’m pleased for the man and his ability to stand up to Trump without being cowed.

Don’t they say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder?

Thanks, EE. I’ve been knocking at the door for quite a few weeks now but generally find I have to make do with eagles.

Whatever happened to the Russia Report or did Britain’s worst prime minister bury it so that it never saw the light of day?

You can only fix it if you’ve got the balls to rejoin the Single Market and the Customs Union, Mr Kyle.

A spiffingly good Septle on one of the most difficult words that I can recall. Well done, you old rocker! 🤣

Nor could I . The alternatives on this column were ASSES and APSES but having got SATIN on the row below knew it couldn’t be the former as both Ss would have turned green at the same time. Do try and make sure you don’t repeat using any letters shown in green that don’t appear in the yellow column.

Indeed it can be especially when you can work out more than one of the rows but can’t find a word to satisfy the empty squares in them all in one go. However 11 guesses is by no means disastrous given how new you are to the game. Keep at it because it does take time for you to become really savvy. 😃

I wouldn’t give £49.60 for this rag. It’s simply GB News in print format.

Squareword, c’est magnifique!

It was a bit unfair of me expecting you to get it from such limited data. There was a song that had both of these words in its title which reached No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart in 1972 and stayed there for four weeks. It was rather unique and well worth listening to.

Clue: The answer had been hanging around too long. 🤣
November 24, 2025 at 8:49 AM
I’m confident that you’ll work it out.
November 24, 2025 at 8:39 AM
Thankfully I didn’t need it. My third guess, funnily enough, had a very strong connection to the correct word which I entered immediately afterwards. With your considerable nous, you can probably work out what this word was.

Trump hasn’t got a snowball in Hell’s chance of ever winning a Nobel Peace Prize. The Awards Committee are rigorous in their selection process and his past history goes before him. If that wasn’t enough to scupper his prospects, the endorsement of major war criminal Netanyahu should do the trick.
November 23, 2025 at 10:12 PM
I thought that might have been the case and my two starter words will hopefully stand me in good stead when it comes down to eliminating good letters.
