The vast number of empty "luxury" units in tower blocks (AHEM. "exclusive once in a lifetime investment opportunity lifestyle designer led cutting edge clusters of up to the minute newly built upmarket apartment buildings") probably doesn't help.

One of the key differences is that it's not the UK pushing these ideas now.

Does that take the Thames Barrier into account or will it be overtopped? (At least one of the well known climate change flood maps doesn't take barriers like that into account, just height above sea level.)
