Finished “The Staircase in the Woods” by @chuckwendig.bsky.social last night. What a fantastic ride! Brought to mind the first time I read “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream” and “House of Stairs” that I read in high school in the long ago 80s. I love me some Wendig and this is some of his best!

Finished “The Staircase in the Woods” by @chuckwendig.bsky.social last night. What a fantastic ride! Brought to mind the first time I read “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream” and “House of Stairs” that I read in high school in the long ago 80s. I love me some Wendig and this is some of his best!
Happy Dead Outlaw cast album (part 1) release to all who celebrate and it should be all y’all! It’s a fantastic true story written by the team behind The Band’s Visit. Calvin and I caught it Off-Broadway last year and loved every second of it. I’d love to go to there and see it again!

Very much looking forward to this read! Just finished listening to “Black River Orchard” and it was damned fantastic! I’ve enjoyed several of Chuck’s other works as well, including the Miriam Black series and “Wanderers” and “Wayward”. Being outspoken and on the right side of history helps as well.
As I am a writer and must peddle my wares lest I die in the abyss, hey! In April 2025, THE STAIRCASE IN THE WOODS emerges from the fog and the trees and if you wanted to pre-order it from your favorite local bookstore -- or get signed, personalized copies from Doylestown Bookshop -- that'd be nice.
