It is our differences that bring us together and make us stronger, NOT our similarities.

I will be bold. I will be strong. I will be confident. I will be inclusive. I will be diverse. I will be a person with peace, hope, and love in my heart. I hope you can do the same thing.

But I won't be.

Without diversity, equity, and inclusion in the way we think, what we do, and how we feel, we would follow other people blindly. And I suppose that's what the Right really wants: blind followers.

Without inclusion, we do not independence. We have loneliness, isolation, the loss of relationships, the demise of our mental health. We are naturally and biologically designed to be included with each other. We are beings who NEED other beings. And we become sick when we are without others.

Without equality, we will never achieve anything. Equality means viewing people with different genders, races, cultures, religions, beliefs as just as important as you are.It means we have the same rights and privileges to live our lives in peace because YOU get to do the same thing.

Without diversity in the way we interpret our lives, we wouldn't have artists, singers, songwriters, poets, orchestra conductors, chefs, teachers, astronauts, bankers, therapists, firefighters, babysitters, doctors, or politicians. The list goes on and on.

Without diversity and different ways of thinking we wouldn't have the creativity to come up with medication to treat diseases, vaccines to prevent pandemics, psychotropics to treat mental health conditions.
