Since the Olympics have ended with the amazing closing ceremony, I want to highlight Nightcall by Kavinsky, just because it's a great song and a cool live performance in this case.
Heard this first on German TV with Joko&Klaas. They made fun of Drive on a hilarious way!

You probably know M83 without knowing M83 because it's this band whose songs you always find in people's stories on Instagram or in YouTube Shorts.
That's how I stumbled over this song and looked for the video straightaway. They both are incredibly beautiful!

Heard this song for the very first somewhere on the telly (maybe the Becks Netflix thing again) and I really enjoyed it.
Being a big White Stripes fan, I've somehow never gotten into The Raconteurs.
Honestly don't know why. Jack White is simply amazing!

The original is an absolute beast of a song and very beautiful.
But this cover really is something. I just stumbled across it, I have never heard that before. I'm not sure how I missed out on this one.
A great cover version to one of my favourite songs.

Returning with an absolute German banger by Rosenstolz.
The German Pop duo had plenty of hits, but this gem is not as widely known as their chart breakers.
'Queen on your stage, dance for me the whole night through' is what the chorus translates to. It's absolutely beautiful!

And we continue down the path of weird, but awesome, German 80s music with this great song. I love that song, it really is weird 😁
Let's see where the rabbit hole takes us next time.
Might (!) be a break of two to three days. I'll be back!

In times of global warming, it's important to think of everything that is affected by it so today we have the song Eisbär (polar bear) by Grauzone 😁
Man, those 80s produced some good stuff in Germany, that's for sure! I was too young to appreciate it back then but I do now!

With Surrogat, it always feels like that cutaway scene from Family Guy with the eye floaters (will post a link in the comments)
You never know where it is going. You think it goes this way but then it goes the other way. That's why I love this band. They are unpredictable!

I remember hearing the first two KOL albums thinking 'these dudes must be from the 70s'.
Couldn't believe they were so young back then, making this incredible music.
There isn't a song I don't like on both albums but I sure love this one! It's a beautiful masterpiece!

First of all, what an absolutely outstanding album. I don't think there is a bad song on it.
And second of all, this song might be my favourite of it (apart from 'Go With The Flow') because the chorus is just beautiful.
Josh Homme is simply brilliant!

Since today is the last day of school before the summer holidays, there is no better way to celebrate this fact than with this classic by Alice Cooper.
It's a recurring image I've used over the last few years and I guess it pisses some people off 😁
Enjoy!

Absolutely amazing song by EODM. Another great band which I should know more about and should definitely listen to more songs. But hey, there's still time.
Been lazy posting but weekend was stressful, sorry!
I will try to keep it up!!!

Ah heck, here's another one by these Australian legends. It was the closing song for yesterday's show and they brought out 12 canons to fire blanks in between the chorus. It was an amazing ending which they followed with fireworks.
Great show!

Just git home from the AC/DC concert and, what a ride that was.
These geezers are bloody old but they rock like young lads.
Need to get some sleep now! Good night!!! 🤘

If I remember correctly, we have already featured this band and the OST to the amazing 6000$ zombie movie 'The Battery'. If not, CHECK IT OUT!
I adore this song, especially the multi vocal harmonies at the end. I always yell that in the car 😁

I know absolutely nothing about this band,, where they are from, what kind of music they make, nothing.
But I do know, that this is an incredibly beautiful song that should definitely geht more airtime...all over the world!
Help spread it!

Quick one today.
In honor of Spain winning the Euros, let's share this banger that is a must at every championship presentation and celebration.
Up next, Tina Turner! 😁

There is this dude on Instagram called @Macglocky who does covers of songs in the style of different bands.
Today he did this song in...I think a Staind version and it was awesome as always. Go check him out.
As for this song, it's simply amazing!

When it comes to combining music with art, it doesn't get better than Deichkind. Kryptik Joe is rising a (Gucci?) handbag!
The chorus translates to ' People cry in Bentleys, too' and 'you can see tears on marble as well'. Rich people have problems, too 😁

These guys can simply do no wrong!
Starting with the hilarious video with probably 0 dollars production costs and the amazing bass line, this song catapults you into a mixture of funk and rock (feel free to correct!)
Take Le Risque and listen!

If there is one thing that Deichkind do better than anyone else, it's creating songs that turn into anthems. The first one was 'Remmidemmi' and then there is this...'Arbeit nervt' which translates to 'Work Sucks'.
I mean, we could all get behind that, right? 😁

Back with the absolutely wonderful Sleaford Mods and their banger 'Jobseeker'.
I chose this version because I really love Jason's movements on stage. Everything he does seems so fragile yet he's this typical English geezer.
Saw them live last year, loved every second!

I'm going on an excursion to Berlin tomorrow with pupils so I thought this song would be appropriate for today. Fingers crossed for a good week, the Euros are on so Berlin is kinda crazy right now.
Might not be able to post this week! If not, see you Friday!
